A new product just introduced as a joint effort between Morgan Thomas, www.sharkee.com, and Pierre Langlois of www.DTSTools.com is .  A training knife designed to represent a prisoner or street made knife.  This new training tool allows for aggressive thrusting and stabbing motions during training scenarios and will leave a visible "hit" if not blocked.  Trainers can then discuss the effects such wounds would have on the victim and lay out survival potential based on that information.

While Sharkee is still Sharkee and DTS is still DTS you can expect more support products and training courses to be introduced as a collaborative effort between Pierre and I very soon.

A molded rubber "blade" with a soft tip combined with a graduated strength spring allow the blade to retract into the handle and reduce impact while training.  Plastic, metal and wooden knives are too hard and rigid to practice these type of attacks and maintain any degree of participant safety. 

It is our hope that trainers and martial arts instructors will find this new tool a valuable and important addition to their bladed weapon courses.
